Just wondering if anyone else has had the same...
Nearly everytime I was breaking when going slow I was getting a really loud squeek when my foot was on the pedal... I took it to my local VAG specialists who checked the front disks and saw that they were wearing and needed replaced. So in I took my car and got new disks and pads for the front and I thought that would be it! But nope, still whenever I brake I get a really high pitched squeek.
It's one of these things that drive me insane!!
Has anyone else had the same problem and what could it be?!

Its a common thing with the MK5.
Not really sure myself of a fix, mine does it time to time and Ive just learnt to live with it.

you can try a couple of things which have always helped me
1. ensure there is some copper ease on the backs of the brake pads so when they move under light braking they dont squeak.
2. if that doesnt help take the brake pads off and file a very small amount off the top edge of the pad,
usually works for me :happy2:

Ive found that WD40 usualy stops the breaks from squeaking . . . . .

:signLOL: cant say thats the best idea ive heard but if it works for you :driver:
