Title: Bumper Crack
Post by: MickMc on March 03, 2009, 01:46:30 pm
Have just received my smoothed rear bumper , but where the exhaust cutout was has cracked half of the way round , tbh this was the only bad bit ,looks like he has just stuck a bit of plastic behind with tigerseal then put a few layers of filler on the front. My question is how i would rectify this ? Would i get away with taking the filler off , fiberglassing over the plastic thats there , then put as little filler as possible over it  ? I want to give this a crack myself , last resort is to let a bodyshop do it when i get it painted

I was watching this on ebay, The only real way to sort it properly is to dig out all the filler and plastic weld the plastic back in place.
Should be a easy job with a soldering iron and some filler.

I would use a small grinder like a dremel or somthing.
