Looking to buy a HID kit. Whats the difference between a 35w and 50w kit?
-
15w :signLOL:
Oh and be prepared to get flamed............. :popcornsoda:

Ha good one :happy2:
Flamed?

HID kits in halogen headlights are soon to be an MOT failure as of Dec this year
If your gonna do it, do it properly with the OEM xenons. Much better light distribution, much better look and much safer.

If your intending to use a HID kit in standard reflector headlights then that is frowned upon on here. Mostly due to dazzling other road users.
Also it may lead to an MOT failiure if/when new checks come in.
It is generally accepted that HID kits are to be used in projector headlights only and even then without self levelling and washers could fail MOT if/when new MOT checks come into play.

Xenons require headlight washers by law ? :happy2:
Chris.

For factory fit xenons they do. For others its a bit of a grey area till the law is more defined

Headlight washers and auto levelling are all very achievable retro fit options, Morrty did the full works on his. And OEM xenons with proper light cutt off and projector lenses are 100x better than HID kits which have overly cold light making rubbish dispersion on the ground for the driver of the car with them fitted and terrible dispersion blinding every other bugger on the road, its as bad as people that have there front and especially rear fog lights on all the time if you arent going to pay attention to what your doing stop driving a sodding car as its dangerous :fighting:

It always makes me wonder if the people who have their front fog lights on all the time in good visibility, turn them off when it gets foggy. I bet they do :congrats:

And so they should be, they look bloody hideous in normal headlights and are usually to bright for on coming cars , the worse thing is the proper taxis that have them in !!?, the light they give of is a real distraction to other drivers !!
