My Eddie is 4 years old this month. Just had a service which came to £900, including timing belt, tensioner and water pump, new n/s/r wheel bearing, ABS pump sensor repair which came to £97 after VW goodwill (free parts and 50% labour). Also just taxed it for 12 months, MOT due on Monday, and all 4 tyres are at 2mm which will be around £400 to replace. And my insurance renewal on the 25th has gone up £50 to £405.
So £1985!

Well I had the whining tensioner problem when cold so am glad it's getting sorted, and a nice full VW service history helps come resale time.
