Title: My Black GTI with one or two mods....
Post by: malawimattgti on March 07, 2009, 04:49:50 pm: Hi just thought i would post up some pics of my GTI. Just done a "amateur" detail on it (Or ANAL as my missus says).

Washed, clay barred and waxed.

Mods:

Forge Valve
Millteck Non Res Catback
REVO Stage 1
Dibilas Induction kit

Black VW Emblems and Red GTI Badges
Colour coded front and rear spoilers and side skirts
Smoked indicator lenses on mirrors

Chrome switchs
Pioneer F900BT Head unit

Standard the car had every option from the factory bar the bucket seats so a nicely specced car.

Only other things i would like to possibly do are:

New speakers and a sub
Upgrade brakes

Yeah, I agree with CT. The Milltek sticks out about 2" too far and isn't level.

car looks good, the milly does need re-seating fella cos that's definately not right, they do require a good wriggle to get them in properly then hung correctly

soon to be complimented with a 12" sub and amp in the boot :party:

have you managed to load the speed cameras onto your 900? can't for the life of me work out how to do it on mine

Hi Cherry,

Been a bit slack to be honest so not tried. Will let you know if i get anywhere!

Was it hard changing the speakers? or did you get a shop to do it?

You can get it on-line for about Ã‚Â£700, its well worth it.

the fronts aren't too bad to change...the rears however take hours as you have to get the seats outs to really attack it and thats a mission.....

so no, got an audio guy to do it :grin:

Post by: QD MBE on March 07, 2009, 05:59:17 pm: The exhaust really wants to be sat further under the rear valance. The rubbers on the rear box must be under some strain, because they hold the rear box across the car, and if the box is 2" further back they will be stretched by the 2 extra inches.

Have a look under the rear valance and you will see what I mean.

Like the head unit, and looking clean too.
