Hi guys,
Recently picked up a 2004 GT TDI 140 and was looking at getting it remapped. I was wondering who do you guys recommend to remap the car?
I also want to know how will the increased power and torque cope with the original clutch etc?
As I don't want to have any problems caused after the remap.
Thanks
Sharif

vRS Carl on here has the Shark Performance PD140 map iirc, from what i gather its almost OEM in its power delievery and putting out the same powwer as the PD170 TDIs

Ah that doesnt sound too bad then if its like an oem map. I was looking into Motech Performance, anyone got any reviews for them?

If your after a remap for a diesel id advise joining briskoda. Lots of diesel PD140 and PD170 vRS drivers with this engine in the octavia II sub forum. You'll get more response id imagine

I had my 140 remapped at AMD in Essex. Their rollers put it at 150hp before and 193hp after

i had mine done AT R-tech last week 153 as standard and now is 193bhp..the map is very smooth

I have a Superchips map on mine using their Bluefin, chosen mainly for the great flexibility to put it back to standard within 5mins. Has came in handy as if I'm tempted to trade it in for a Scirocco R or S3, I drive the car back at standard power then pop back on the map and remember that its spot on at 180-190bhp and I can keep the £25k in my piggy bank
