Title: Splitting Seats.....

Is it possible to split the backrest from the base of the seat on the GTI and if it is does anyone know of a good guide?!

Reason for asking is I have a spare full GTI interior from my old car and have electric seats in my new GTI. The new GTI's seats have a tiny bit of wear on the bolsters and I was wanting to swap them for my perfect ones on my spare set but don't want to lose the electric seat

Its a tricky job to do on a standard seat, god knows what it is like with an electric one.

When you say electric you mean heated?

The heat pads are in the back part of the seat aswell as the bottom part.
