Title: Gti/r32 roof spoiler and Gti/r32 sideskirts RETROFIT
Post by: ruffrydaz on May 18, 2011, 03:25:25 pm
I got the sideskirts from the dealers with the kit,
It has 2 mounting strips that are drilled then the skirts go on top of that with adhesive and a screw in the wheel arch
Do i have to drill the mounting strips or can i stick them on? I really dont want to drill in my car

Secondly i need a definate answer wether  i can just buy the gti spoiler from the dealers (£190!!!!!) and adhesive kit with it or will i need to modify anything with my brake light? The guy at the dealers said i do but others said i dont

I have a gt tdi btw with the standard tailgate

You can bond the mounting strips on no problem, I didnt even bother buying them.

I just used the brackets underneath, the screws in the wheel wells and the adhesive strip with no problems.

As for the spoiler I'm pretty sure you can just bond it on with no modding to your existing spoiler/taillight.

PM demon666 I know he fitted the GTI spoiler to his TDI  :happy2:
