Hi guys
I've had my MK5 2 weeks and I have the itch to start tinkering.
I definately want to replace the RCD300 as its a bit of a lemon so any suggestions welcome.
I'm also looking to maybe squeeze a few extra horses out.
TIA

RNS510 and a bluefin remap from jkm performance :happy2:
Let the slippery slope begin

I did look at the RNS route but seems a lot of mucking around with CAN-BUS etc.
I'll take a look at the JKM website. What are the benefits of a Blue fin over a Revo/R-Tech remap?
-
Bluefin is easily removed and put back to stock, it doesnt up the flash counter so once removed youd never know it was flashed and is somewhat cheaper too atm with the discount they are running!
RNS isnt that much of a big deal. If you have an 07 upwards car you should be fine, but otherwise its only a case of swapping the can gateway which takes 30 mins to do

As Alex, i've recently fiitted the RNS 510, cracking bit of kit, worth every penny. Bluefin at JKM price FTW :happy2:

Thanks for the replys. After reading the reviews Bluefin wil be my next purchase. Just volunteered to work some overtime. Think I'm gonna need it
I must admit that I want an RNS and if you guys think its a good piece of kit then I'll go for it.
Should I change my air filter or anything else before fitting the Bluefin?
-
If you order the bluefin from JKM this month and say your from mk5golfGTI they will include a free pipercross panel filter worth 40 quid :happy2:
RNS510 is a great head unit - worth every penny IMO

Looks like I'll be getting the credit card out. Thanks for the heads up.

Another vote for the RNS510, can be an expensive upgrade including the can bus but well worth it IMO :happy2:
