Title: HELP........
Post by: craigy123 on June 20, 2011, 01:27:38 pm
I had my ED30 with a GIAC map (with flash loader) always set to pump, along with a Forge CAI and Forge DV, the car went great, no hassle at all. I then bought a second hand Blueflame downpipe and sports cat off of here, and fitted it along with a Blueflame system i had previously bought off of here. Now the car runs terrible, its holding back big time, engine management light came on, fault showing bank 1 catalyst below threshold. I was also told it could be down to fuel, so fitted Autotech HPFP internals along with Rs4 return valve. Which has made no difference at all. Could there be a problem with the cat? The system doesnt sound loud at all either, its holding back up the rev range. its crap to be honest  :ashamed:

I just want my performance back

Sorry to hear this.

Have you spoke with your GIAC dealer?  Adjustments to the map may improve things?

.
If everything was running sweet until you introduced the extra Blueflame component doesn't that heavily suggest that's the component at fault?

Have you had it checked?

Is it the right match for your first Blueflame system?

Craig,

Speak to Paul or Ryan at Regal Motorsport as they deal with GIAC. Tell them Vick from Edition 38 recommended them and I'm more than sure they will be able to offer you good advice. Sounds to me like your car is holding back, possibly ecu going into safety mode due to cat issues?

My downpipe with a 200 cel catalyst through the rear O2 sensor fault code until I went with Revo (who map-out the rear sensor as standard).

Did you check the union where you bolted the downpipe to the engine for any leaks?
