Title: Quickie advice.
Post by: gulfstream11 on June 28, 2011, 12:47:35 pm
I read russZs thread and bought some Autosmart G101 for the wheels n stuff..I bought 5litres..Whats the recommended dilution ratio and he mentions "spraying it on"..Is it just one of those water sprayers hairdresses use,you know the plastic trigger efforts or do I have to be a specialised one..
Also, wheel brushes. Can I buy the range from Halfrauds or is there a linky to a decent set?.

Cheers

i would use it at 10:1 for safety's sake. its still v strong and effective at that. i dont use it on wheels, or glass and try not to use it very strong on paint. i use it for dirty areas like door shuts, and wheel arches.

also, dont use it inside, even the new improved smelling stuff smells pretty rough. its a pretty cheap basic chemical, so rough and ready but good for the dirty jobs.

Ahhh Jay.. I bought it because I thought it was good for wheels as detailed in russZs thread.Never mind those arches get filthy so thanks for the advice on the ratio.

Brushes - I like the raceglaze/envy/swissvax style brushes for tackling the faces of the wheels. I have a set which I use for various purposes. I'd also get an EZ-style wheel brush for tackling the inner surfaces of the wheels.

As above, dilute G101 to 1:10 but unsure of how harsh it is. I use megs apc.

its not a bad product by any stretch its just there are more focussed products for wheels at the same price.
