Title: kufatec adaptor question
Post by: ali6n2 on June 30, 2011, 11:52:26 am
Basically looking to hook up xenons without the autolevelling.
on the site there are two looms, one with a wire sticking out.
If i purchase the bi xenon one with the extra wire but do not hook up the feature would it be ok i.e. no dash errrors etc. or do i just order the simple one.

il have no problem fitting them, however would appreciate any help on the programming side. based in leeds,w/yorks./

thanks

The one with the wire enables the bi-xenon functionality.

If you do not connect this wire, you wont get xenon high beam and it will be just halogen as you currently have

When coding if the wire is not connected, you need to choose 'Xenons without shutters installed'

Pin 11 on each HID light, to A5 and D6 at the CECM will activate the Xenon shutters (post coding).

also, one more thing. if the bi xenons are active, does the halogen bulb just remain idle?

The halogen is used as an addition main beam with the xenon main beam

Its also used for 'flash to pass' in day time when the headlights are off.
