Title: Upgrade of Head Unit and Speakers
Post by: sjt144 on July 11, 2011, 10:03:34 am
Hi guys,

not long had my ED30 and would like to change out the standard head unit.  I'm looking for quality of sound/Bass.  Don't need SAT NAV.  Can any of you guys recommend a particular unit that will fit snuggly into the dash?  Also,  do you know if the standard speaker are up to a head unit upgrade or would I need to change out also.  How difficult to change out the speakers or is it a trip to the dealers?  So many questions.....

cheers..

With a Radio mounting kit, you can fit just about any radio single/double din in.

You will need a wiring loom to convert Can-signal into postive, negative and ACC wire.

Factory speakers will hold up fine. Pioneer I found to have the best improvement on factory speakers.
Tried even the top Alpine Units too.
