Title: Headlights
Post by: vRS_Pagey on July 14, 2011, 06:27:12 am
Picked up swmbo's new just yesterday, a 2007my Golf GT TDi.  So far so good but interested changing a few bits, firstly the standard chrome headlights.  Could someone confirm if the one in the attached link is the correct one for a mkv Golf and if its a good price?
Cheers, Lee.

It's just one.

The going rate for these is around £100-£130  :happy2: (for two)

I know its only 1, they have the opposite side in separate auction, would the price you mention be for OE?  Next question is how to remove the unit?

Had an email back from the seller saying they can't guarantee they will fit....  Am I missing something, or are there a host of different headlights for the mk5 Golf?  Afaik you have standard halogen or Xenon.

Someone help!?

They should be the same fitment whether halogen, xenon, aftermarket etc.

Same fitments for all. I would stick with OE units and wouldn't pay anymore than £120 for the pair!   :happy2:

Any idea where can I get OE headlamps for £120?

Put an ad in the Wanted section, amazing how many have them lying around after upgrading to xenons!  :happy2:
