Hello!

Until a couple of months ago i was the proud owner of a GTI Pirelli which i loved for 2 and a half years. However, I took quite a fancy to the Scirocco R so after much deliberation about various cars, I went and ordered one. As I didn't really mod the Pirelli, and given their shared platform, I knew I wanted to do a few things to the Roc when she arrived.

First thing to do was put my number plate on (although blanked out), plate holder and black VW badges front and rear:

Having ordered some new seats, they were eventually installed and the interior retrimmed in red nappa leather. Was done by D-Class over in Chobham and they did a fantastic job. Delighted with the colour, just how i wanted it. The seats are Recaro Sporster CS's with Carbon Fibre backs. Only got the 1 picture atm, will take some more at the weekend when i get the car back from its latest adventure.

Next up is fitting my 19" black BBS CHs which have been sat in the lounge for a few months :laugh: along with Bilstein PSS10s on the 23rd July.

Followed by the APR RSC TBE on the 30th July. The APR has never been fitted to a Scirocco, buttttt, this will be a first! :happy2:

Then a short shift, engine mounts and EVOMMS shortly after. The lovely people at JKM doing the hard work.

Then finally, clutch, intercooler, fuel pump which will then mean i am ready to go Revo stage 2+. I'm of the opinion that I want to remap it when the car is ready, rather than remap first then play catch up with everything else. Also, given I have never remapped before, I want to do 2+ from the off which i'm sure will be awesome. Brakes may follow after, although the car won't be going on a track and i'm by no means a late braker so would imagine the standard R setup fine for the time being.

Cheers dude!

The R32/S3 seats are different to these. They're made specifically for VW i think. These are the same as those in the Focus RS, although the carbon fibre backs are optional. Seats were new, bought them after ordering the car.

What KWs did you go for? It was a toss up for me for Bilsteins or KW, ended up with Bilsteins but of course they're both good. I went for the PSS10s because they are easier to adjust than the KW V3s which I read were a nightmare. They go on next week. As for lowering, def needs to sit lower, but yeh i don't want to scrape my bumper so could be some fine tuning needed on that! just need to play around with it, which of course the Bilsteins let me do without too much fuss. I'll keep you posted! :happy2:

Im the same, but I have a sneaky feeling it suits the car in person and its just the angle in which the pics have been took.

This weekend I had my coilovers fitted, Bilstein B16 PSS10s

Can anyone let me know what settings they have for those with these fitted. I think mine are on 4... although not overly sure what this means, need to explore it but if anyone can recommend any settings which aren't too harsh, then im all ears!

Haven't got a specific ACC delete kit, the Bilsteins don't come with one, but the ACC is disabled, it just blinks occassionally, not the end of the world.

Its down by 15mm on the front 25mm on the rear. My 19s go on next week, so im waiting to see what it looks like/rides like with them on, before fine tuning the set-up exactly. Might drop it a little lower although i don't want to have problems with speed bumps so won't slam it.

25mm is a lot better than standard, but i think it could drop a little bit more. I'll wait till the wheels go on then re-asses

Will take some pics on the wkend once its all done.

hahaha, couldn't get the damn tyres in time. combining it with the exhaust experiment, fingers crossed it fits! pics to follow and maybe a cheeky sound clip

The wheels speak for themselves as im sure people have seen in various places before. Had Michelin Pilot Super Sports fitted. Must say the tyres are phenominal and not only do they look great, they ride really nicely and grip like super glue, best tyre out there! :yes:

Now onto the APR... OH MY GOD! Its amazing. Start up from cold and it growls into life, tickover really loud and sounds like you've awakened an animal. Pulling away and the exhaust crackles and pops and gets goose bumps on your arms. Lifting on off, on the over-run, the exhaust back fires and spits, a true sensation. Accelerating, the sound builds more and more, until you're at the top 1/3 of the rev range and it sounds nothing short of amazing. The beauty of the APR system is on the motorway or crusing in 6th, its as quiet as OEM, but when you go for the beans, there's nothing quite like it. The system is a work of art in itself, really well manufactured and looks tasty hanging out the back, and really underlines the development gone into the system.

The only comparison is to compare to the Milltek. Millteks are ok in providing a high-flow system that sounds more meaty than standard, but really the 2 systems are not nearly in the same league, and I would urge anyway to give the APR a listen before automatically stumping for the Milltek, because it truly blows it out the water!

Anyway, took some pics. Think i want to drop the front by an inch further so it sits a tiny bit flatter, but that's a small alteration.
