Title: What are a set of folding mirrors with puddle lights worth?

Anyone have any ideas what a pair of Mk5 folding mirrors with puddle lights are worth these days?

not wanting to hijack the OP thread... but had someone catch my LHS wing mirror over the weekend the internals are all ok and the heated glass seems fine and folds ok however there is a nice black mark and largish crack in the outer shell. can you buy the shell alone and does it have to be a folding version... I'm guessing if they are sold seperate they are primmed and would need spraying seperate???

You should be able to get the correctly colour coded shell from the dealer though it'll be an item that has to be specially ordered from VW.

Steve there are plenty of these kicking about forums and ebay now so i would say £120 would be a reasonable price :happy2:

I suppose that would be a good price if it included the door controllers to get them to work on a retrofit car. I suppose the fact that you would have to buy these extra would put a lot of potential buyers off hence the lowish price.

What is needed to retrofit them, other than the obvious mirror part and motors?

I've got 2 controllers, there seem to be lots of versions so I'm only 90% sure they are the correct ones. I've got the lhs folding mirror with puddle light assy, am just looking for the drivers side now but I'm sure you won't want to spit..

£200 plus post and without covers , I would use my own set , How much coding would be required ? thx

If they don't come with controllers and a door switch, I would say £150 at most.  If someone is offering more than that, I would snap their hands off!

Steve I have every thing to swap over if you need spares to sort your car out after selling them. you can have them for the amount of favours you've done for me :notworthy:

I am a bit of an exception has I bought my folding mirrors with auto dimming mirrors for £70 but they mirror shells from VW are about £165 each so if you charge £200-£250 for the lot including controllers and switch that would be a decent price and what they go for on eBay.de
