As the title says come the winter I will be putting on my winter wheels but they have a 42 et offset. What effect will this have? Anything to be concerned about?
Cheers

they will sit 9mm further out :happy2:

Cheers gazbut but are there any negative effects of this widening of the track? All seems to clear the body work etc so.I think I'm fine there....

more load on the wheelbearings

Something I've never given thought to. Think the extra wear is negligible with the lower offset offset or significant reduction in bearing life??

This is fine if its negligible as they are only going to be on for the winter. I just wanted to be sure I was not going to be giving myself a problem

it's nothing to be worried about, just remember every action has a reaction. For example the better grip your tyres has the more stress you put on other components. Just be aware and check the parts that get's stressed more a bit more often :happy2:
