Personally I think they don’t look right. Probably look more suited to a chavved up focus

oh  thought they looked pretty good and at a reasonable price. am i not seeing something subtle about them? dont they just look like a lot of other similar y-spoke wheels out there?

the wheels that have been on my mind for a while are the VMR V710, very tasty

They are nice, I have enough sets of wheels to keep me going at the minute. Maybe once I’ve sold a few sets :happy2:

I'm sure there's a dude in Huddersfield with these on a red 3-door Edition 30. They don't look too great tbh*
* unless you're here, in which case they look damed fine!

I'd second that. Used to have a set of Inovit DTM's which are similar to those. Just don't curb the lip!!
-
there's just so many to choose from...at least i am settled on the style! i like the Inovit range...was looking at Rota Grid Drifts for the Impreza at one point. i just want some nice wheels as i am not going to bother chasing power, the STi had all i would ever need and then some...realised that the Golf is the best balance so just want it to look nice.

Golfnutter, you can pick VMR Reps up for under £500 and all bbs reps for around £500! also including other wheels that come in replicas, such as rotiforms, bbs,oz,rota all the reps are good strong just your not paying for the name and admittedly there not split rims, but still look the Nuts :P
Joe.

so going for reps shouldnt necessarily be ignored. some people say they wont be as good, strong, keep their finish etc as the real ones...is that a true reflection of replica wheels?

Like most things GN, it depends on who makes them, how they are driven on etc etc. I know people that have run reps for years and they've been perfect. I also know people that have had problems with reps. A few with the quality of the finish and one case in particular (with some BBS LM reps) that cracked both front wheels from hitting a small pothole....
I guess that you pays your monies, you make your choices....
I had a set genuine BBS RK504 splits on my Fabia vRS which I loved, but driving with them changed my driving style through fear of damaging them, so I can see the pros & cons of opting for reps.

Yes. There is a reason why they are a fraction of the price. Weight is another factor, which in turn directly effects handling feel.
