Where is the best place to buy the cable & software to read these codes.

Or is it very expensive?

me too, i bought the micro can one from ross-tech for about 190quid?

i did have a ebay special for a while for my mk4 but it was truely terrible like most things from ebay. so i bit the bullet and bought a genuine one, and havent looked back
