Title: Buying an Import help!!

Hi

I'm looking for a 5 door edition 30 to buy and someone local is selling one and when I called about it the guy was quiet honest and told me it was a Euro import from Holland originally and he is the second owner the first being a friend of his.

Having never had any experience of these things what should I look out for?  What's going to be the problems faced by me if I buy this car?

Hi
Nothing wrong with buying an import but consider the following:

make sure the car has the same standard spec as a UK car. Main thing is the factory alarm
make sure you can insure it being an import
aim to pay slightly less, come trading in time the dealers will offer slightly less
