Ive got a candy white 08 plate ed30 with 23k on the clock and its pretty much immaculate bar the usual stone chips. Its got a forge CAI, dumpvale and GIAC map, but i want more.
I,ve always had red cars upto this one, and nearly did buy a red ed30 but the candy one came up at the right price. Now........ ive expressed an interest in a red ed30 that has had alot of work in the way of modifications done to it, for pretty much a straight swap, its a 57 plate and done a wee bit more mileage, the car in question used to be on here, cohibas maybe (i think ive spelt that wrong).
whats peoples thoughts?
A spec of the red one from memory is
APR HP fuel pump
Uprated in tank pump
APR full system TB
Neuspeed front and rear ARB
Whiteline anti lift kit
KW v3 coilovers
OZ ultraleggra alloys
APR front mount
Volkswagen racing engine mounts
GIAC remap
Boost gauge with steering coloum pod
uprated clutch and Quaiffe Diff
Tarox 10 pot brakes
Audi S3 rear brakes
DBlias air intake
and a pic after i detailed it

I think you'd be insane to do that Craig.
Pricing up alot of the stuff on there would be a minimal spend to what you'd loose on the car come selling time
Stick with your candy

Theres alot of money been spend on the car in the way of mods, it would be a car to keep until it was dead basically with the intension of track days etc. Things alone like the diff, clutch and coilovers are a huge out lay

It's a great car is that one know cohiba well and it had a lot of money spent on it and well looked after by him

Would you not consider a wrap if the colour is the main issue here ?
Odd isn't that I modify all of my cars and yet when I buy I always want it to be standard and get the work done myself, definetly a false economy but I know lots of us think like it ?!?
I'd stick with the Candy, looks gorgeous :)

You could ask if he wants to swap parts

its deffo not the colour thats making me swither between the two, i love red cars  .
I will try and find out for you mike :happy2:
need to just have a good long think about it all, its a beast of a car to turn down :driver:
-
My reckoning of the red one was scabby front end and battered arch lips -- surely your cw is better paint wise (car parks excluded)

the red one has all been fixed by the new owner, it would never be a show car for me anyway, purely for fun :driver:
-
White looks better in my opinion standard. But never been a fan of the wheels on the edition 30's.
Way to look at it if you had the cash which would you go for? If you want to do track days and that and know the history of the red one then maybe that's best way to go. As coilovers are a grand, full exhaust a grand, diff n clutch fitted a grand easy. You car is a year newer but surely not worth that much more? Seems too good a deal so id only do it if you know the red car is a minter.
