Hi everybody ,
Looking advice , got reversed into while parked over night in a multi-storey !
the other driver did leave his details tho ( thankfully ) ...
damage is to the rear bumper , think he had a tow bar by the looks of it , , i obviously need a new bumper .
but im worried re other things , my golf is a dsg and was parked in P mode ( as you do ! ) , , but i almost had to use 2 hands to shift it to D when driving away !? .
Questions :
could there be damage to the dsg ?
Steering?
Sensors in rear bumper ?
Thanks in advance
Graham

I suspect that when you got hit the car moved forward ever so slightly and the dsg box took up the slack it normally has. IMO the box should not have sustained any damage.
