Title: Improving 0-100 times
Post by: matt a on March 31, 2009, 07:18:18 pm
I'm not hugely interested in big improvements top end, but wondered which combination of performance parts would help to reduce 0-100mph times, basically more acceleration.  :happy2:

Please dont flame me for asking, I know any stage 1 or 2 set up will help, but I mean are there any particular maps that are geared towards acceleration gains.

I used a vbox gps accelleration box in my car at pod and managed a 0-60 6.9 0-100 13.3. That was nannying the clutch at the start as mine is fooked
I reckon i could get a mid 5 seconds to 60 with a good launch which would have my car in the 11's :happy2:
Current mods on mine are:
Stage 2 revo
Milltek tbe (now swapped for custom blueflame)
Tyres: conti sport 3's
Ecs dogbone mount
Walk kit

I also let vtechabuser use the box with his dsg car and identical mods to mine, bar the walk kit and he managed an 11.1-100mph and a low 5sec 0-60
Not sure how much this helps

The most important things are a good launch, good tyres and decent power
If you want to spend the money then, a diff, toyo r888's, uprated clutch if you have a manual so that you can do a little burnout which should shave a few 1/10ths off the time :happy2:
