Cant you just modify the existing light unit and put 2 red LEDS in it? Seems to me the easiest way.

The map reading lights are the bright spot light type ones on either side of the interior light the red ones are called ambient lighting and are for soft lighting on the gear stick and centre console.

You LEGEND!!!!  :notworthy:

Any idea about the housing that goes round it? or do I need to drill holes and glue this in place  :scared:

as for wiring, just run them directly of the other red lights?

I'm just going to drill and take a switched 12v supply from fusebox  :happy2:

? two wires.....

you going to run one directly from the fuse box? the other?

Can you not just attach them/join them in with the interior lights in the head-lining somehow?

There's a metal panel next to the fuse box I'm going to use for earth.
Saves me slicing into wires  :happy2:
