I have windows 7 home premium and want to get office for excel and outlook. Where did you get yours? What's the crack with 32 and 64 bit as well ?
-
Ditto, just ordered a new laptop that comes with Windows 7 Home Premium and looking to put Office 10 on it. think mines is a 64-bit OS, maybe.
I do know if you are a student you can order it from Software4Students (http://www.software4students.co.uk/Microsoft_Office_2010_Professional_Plus-details.aspx) for £37.89 if you're a student. Oh, wait a minute, I AM ONE!!! :jumping: :jumpmove: :jumpmove: :star: :star:

I only paid £8.99 for Genuine full Office 2010.
-
Tell us more!!

Not sure, not very computer minded.
I was sent a password, about 25-30 numbers and letters, and went on the MS site and downloaded. I am not sure, but he may have got it via work?
I had to pay via a card and all was sorted.
-
I see, I've bought from Software4Students before so think I'll use them again.
Dunno if I can just buy the one copy...
-
Unless you work with very large excel files, stick with the 32 bit version of office even when using 64 bit windows.
Surprisingly this advice comes from Microsoft.
-
My student days have passed long ago so that's a no go. I guess it will be £80 then...
-
Depends if you can get access to the home use program. I got genuine Office 2010 and Office for Mac 2011 for £8.95
Forces can get access to it which is how i got mine. Maybe you can through your business.
-
I get it through my company and pay £8.95 like others. Microsoft Home Use Program. :happy2:
-
Been looking and I dont think I can
-
I may be able to get Office 2010 pretty cheap.
I used to have a load of Windows 7 licenses as well, which many forum members purchased and used perfectly fine.
If I have enough people interested in Office 2010 I may be able to get it pretty cheap.
PM me if interested :happy2:
-
If you dont need Outlook then Home and Student edition would do you.
-
I can get MS Office Professional Plus 2010 or Mac office 2011 for £16.99 through work :)
-
Is that an offer or a boast?
-
I'll have a copy then....
-
bigger company's employees are able to purchase it for like £9, you need to speak to your i.t/HR departments.
You can also use open office which is free and thunderbird as your mail program which is free.
-
Thats the thing, bigger companies tend to use OVL, smaller tend to buy OEM when they get a new PC and cant benefit from this - OEM being a fair bit cheaper.
-
As ed said above. Open office is good if you want a free program. Does all the stuff microsoft version does.

I wish it was able to buy on behalf of others but unfortunately i can't so i suppose it is a bit of a boast.

If i am honest Open Office is in most respects betters than MS Office. THe main advantage is that it is less fluffy. Functionality wise it is all there.
