Title: How much is an OEM GTI / ED30 exhaust worth
Post by: jedi-knight83 on October 11, 2011, 09:48:56 am
Fitting my milltek today so wondered if its worth selling or storing the OEM one.

Just CAT back

Its actually from an ED30 as thats what was available 2nd hand at the time when the owner put my car back to standard.

No idea on age or mileage as obviously its come from another car but whats a ball park figure for one in good condition?

About £100 for the whole set up.
Sell the backbox and centre section to some one making a 1.4 into a GTI style, and sell the downpipe on ebay, I got about £55 for mine.

Will ask a mate who is after one if you want?

Well this is just the back box and centre silencer. Does not include the cat or downpipe.

I always find it better to keep the OEM part and when you sell the car return it to standard and sell the modified parts  :happy2:

I do the opposite, £80 more to spend now on the car  :signLOL:
Also, don't have the space to keep all things like that.
And if they are only worth £80, then it's cheap enough to replace them by buying the parts again off ebay when you do sell the car.

You can never find one when you want one though.
