I fully appreciate spelling mistakes but I am having trouble reading some of the posts as I am old.

A few of my friends used to send me text messages using text talk and they asked why i never replied. How can i reply if i do not uderstand what you're saying!

Ok back in the day when phones didn't have predictive text etc I can probably understand but with phones now there is no excuse.
And especially when you sit at a keyboard.
And since when has m8 been English.

It's actually quite difficult on an iPhone (other smart phones are available) to speak "gibberish"

I agree, nothing wrong with abbreviations but some of the text talk is just chav tastic "innit" ( i sound like a right snob now lo... oh hang on i cant write that now can I :grin:)
