That if you don't run an uprated intercooler at stage 2+ on a K04 the Revo map is watered down, ie. less boost??
-
The stg2+ (and all other revo tfsi maps) are set up by the tuner according to the requirements of the engine, theres no set map for a car with/without an intercooler.
In general you can add some more boost/ignition timing with a fmic equipped car = more power.

They will run a lower setting d imagine otherwise you would have a heatsoaking nightmare. It would still be alot stronger than stage 2 though. Then when you get an IC you can just turn the boost/timing up a nudge for more power

So if you're running an S3 without the uprated IC would the boost be set higher than say an Eddy without the uprated IC
I assume the standard S3 IC is better than an Eddy's one???

Standard GTI and ED30 both use the same intercooler. The S3 intercooler is therefore a viable upgrade path for both. You could then add a FMIC to this if needed. I changed mine standard GTI to S3 just bought parts from TPS and fitted myself one sat morning. You do have to take most of the front of the car off tho so prob best only if you handy with the spanners.

forgot you were getting an S3. You'll be 100% fine with that as thats what alot of guys upgrade to wghen going stage 2+ as its alot better than the std GTI/vRS/Cupra intercoolers
