HI my 2006 (56) jetta , the key fob has stopped working ? it locks the car and pops the boot but will not open the car ?? any ideas lads

battery pull car ? how can it be battery if it still locks and pops boot ?

Do you have another key? Mine once stopped unlocking and needed the key to be synced to the car.

its defo the keys battery, it happened to mine some months ago when I was at work??? Good thing my dad works here aswell, borrowed his car and went and got my spare key, couple days after put a new battery in and all worked fine.

Last year I spilt de-icer on it, so the 'unlock' did not work sometimes. Just bought a new fob an synced it.
