Title: Bridgestone Potenza S02A - and other tyre recommendations
Post by: sundance on November 22, 2011, 07:13:33 am
Guys

The car I am about to purchase has 2 very worn front tyres.  On the back he has some Bridgestone Potenza S02A on 225/40/18.

1.  Looking on the inter web these seem to be tyres designed for Porsche???  Anyone else used these tyres?
2.  Secondly, for the worn fronts I was thinking of either getting Bridgestone R050A (I have owned many cars in the past with this tyre) or going for the forum favourite ;) of the Michelin PS3 - any recommendations?  (Once the rears wear out I would switch to an all PS3 setup)

Thanks all

Ash

Very different car, but I had Bridgestone Potenza R050A on my BMW and the wear rate was terrible. Having had PS3s on a GTI that is the option I'd take.

Cheers Andrew.  Any good offers on PS3s?  Best I have seen is £144.71 (fitted) from blackcircles.com

Look out for Costco offers. They regularly do 20% off Michelin tyres.

Cheers

Just spoke to Volkswagen Twickenham who said they would price match Kwik-Fit.  All in they offered Pilot PS3s at £151 each.  That's not bad so thought might as well get the tyres changed at the same time as the Service I have booked :)
