Post by: mano on November 26, 2011, 04:25:54 pm
Just noticed cream isde my oil cap, not loads but enough

Coolant has gone down but when I switch the car off I've noticed it gurgling a couple of times

She's not overheating and only done 37k and 07 plate

Any1 else had issues?

If it has gone I will be doing myself, anybody done it themselfs / how much of a ball ache is it?

Typical after to happen just after I treet her to a turbo back exhaust :(

If there are no other signs, such as Mayo in the coolant header tank and you only do short journeys there isn't anything to worry about. I used to get exactly the same on my Mk4 GTi and V5 both of which only covered 200-300 miles a week.

Same here. Nice long journey normally clears it.

Oh rigght cheers!

Wierd coz had a 05 gti and that never mayo'd up. Must depend on the oil inside the engine allso..? Some oils react more to moisture maybe?

Anyhow fingers crossed she's good!
