Title: Do Mk5 throttle pedals tick quite loud when released?
Post by: Snoopy on November 30, 2011, 09:23:06 pm
I never noticed it with our mk5 GTI
but the mk6 which is now 21 months old has started to tick quite loud tonight from the throttle pedal when you release it to press the brake pedal.

I have never noticed it in driving before but in traffic tonight, even with the heater and radio on (so not a quiet enviroment as i have had it before) the ticking of been on and off the throttle was really starting to piss me off.

This quick video i did shows what i meen. (sorry it needs editing to turn it 90 degrees  :ashamed: )
The engine is running.
The heater is on 3.
The phone recording the video is close to me so you get a sense of what it sounds like.
