Hi
The specs are:
8.5x18 ET32 5x112pcd
^ok ^?? ^good
Ive have seen people run wheels with this offset but would these be ok?
What problems do offsets cause?
Thanks
Ollie

By the way I have a 1.6 fsi mk5 :drinking:
-
Counter intuitively, the less the offset the further out the rims will sit. So if the standard rims were ET50, then some ET32 will sit 18mm further out.
-
Also the rims are an inch wider than standard mk5 18'' wheels, so with such a low ET I reckon the fronts at least will be a problem.

Check this link out: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

they will stick out 30mm more than std :happy2:, will be a problem

Yup, pushing that offset on that width..... although nothing's impossible

You would clear ok if you run a reasonable amount of camber plus 215 tyres, otherwise you would have to be high, and being high looks s*it :happy2:

 Excellent

Anyone know what the width and ofset of 18" BBS Monza 2's are?
-
originals are 7.5" and ET 51
-
and Monza II copies are usually 8" wide and 45 offset......and not as good in terms of build quality.
-
So they would be a problem. Do you think I could roll the archs and pull them to allow them to fit. I will be lowering it but nothing extereme hust a healthy drop.

Like Jonny says you will need to run a bit of stretch and camber, so unless these wheels are your dream wheels then i personally would find some others more suited.

Does anyone know the width of the 15" alloys on my car. The tyre is 185/65/15. I measured them and they came back 7.5". That cannot be right can it?
-
the tyre may measure 7.5 but the rim won't be, more like 6 I should think
-
I thought it would be around 6" but I measured from the inside lip of the rim to the outside at 7.5" not the tyre. How do you measure them properly?
Heres a pic of them

with the tyre on it will be pretty difficult to get a measurement, I just had a quick look on the Vw website and the Golf Match which runs 195/65/15 said 6inch rim so it will be around that I should think

Thanks alot mate :happy2:
-
out of interest, why do want to know
-
Im still set on the wheels I posted originaly and I am using a tyre offset calculator and need to know the wiidth is the offset 51? I am getting my arches pulled and rolled so I think I may be able to get away with them. Hopefully!! What do you think. The body shop said they can be pulled a couple of inches if needs be.

anything can be made to fit pal, depends on the lengths your prepared to go to
