Title: Clutch
Post by: Johnny_tro on December 16, 2011, 05:53:47 pm
Some info. please guys

On my previous car when the clutch was going it was slipping.

On the MK5 GT does this happen when the clutch is low? what are the tell tale signs?

Give or take what the approx cost of fitting one? MK5 2.0 GT - standard not a highender

Its bite'ing but the pedal seems to go sloppy occassionally or takes a slight press of the gass pedal for it to come back up.....

sounds more like a servo problem than the actual clutch?

Does the pedal drop and stay on the floor at all?

The clutch should be good for 150k depending on how its been driven.

This is an on/off issue. Worse when cars warm..........

Found it hard to get into first gear once or twice then when I drive and change the cluch seems sloppy.....it does not drop completely to the floor
but its slow/sloppy in getting back up again. Feels soft/spongey

100k car been driven normally......not hard hard.
