Title: RNS 510 sat nav disc v4

Has anyone used the v4 sat nav disc yet? I was wondering what the differences are between V3 and V4 and whether it's worth buying?

It depends on your area i guess, i have never found with v3, there are any missing roads near me, and ive done a lot of driving with it.

There are no leaps forward in the postcode scenarior though, unfortunately

i think that TMC has been sorted by other people , have you been on Navi lately ?

theres a new poi program which helps i believe

Where are you getting the V4 discs from? VW haev told me that all VW dealerships shar ethe same central stock distribution centre - is that true?

Post by: Lean on May 15, 2009, 11:06:14 pm: TMC never works for me (I have MFD2) -although I was in France last year and it worked a treat (purple/yeloow roads denoting roadworks with a small men at work sign at either end showing the length of the works. why oh why do we in this country have a TMC which doesn't work when the rest of europe it does... :sad:

I brought a disc directly from the Navteq store I used on MDF2 on a Passt B6 and the TMC worked a treat on this :happy2:

Post by: mortygttdi on June 25, 2009, 03:34:14 pm: I have the V4 with speed cams and tmc working fine. although im hoping Navtec get there behind in gear and do something better than this V4 cos for me its not really changed, We have a ruddy great big through road from the A1 right through Leeds/Hunslet/pontefract lane and its not even on the new disc its just 1 straight road on ponty lane :angry015:

Get your act together navtec or im going to be updating with the bmw software...
