Probably they don't have to tell you.

Polo 1.4 FSI made from February 2002 to June 2006 (model year 2002 - 2006);
Golf IV 1,6 FSI made from November 2001 to May 2004 (model year 2002 - 2004);
Golf IV Variant 1.6 FSI made from October 2001 to October 2006 (model year 2002 2006);
Bora 1.6 FSI made from October 2001 to September 2005 (model year 2002 - 2005);
Bora Variant 1.6 FSI made from October 2001 to September 2005 (model year 2002 2005);
Golf V 1.4 FSI made from November 2003 to November 2004 (model year 2004 -2005);
Golf V 1.6 FSI made from August 2003 to May 2004 (model year 2004);
Golf V 2.0 FSI made from January 2004 to May 2004 (model year 2004);

So the early GTIs won't cope but all others should. Still sticking to v-power

E10 was introduced in Germany this year but there is always vpower 100 and Bp 102 available there. Yes I miss it :(

It says FSI Stealth not TFSI  :wink:

If in doubt ring your local dealer. :smiley:

I use a mixture of E10 & Vpower during track days, it creates a safe higher octane fuel and you really can tell.  Vpower contains zero added ethanol do the mix if done correctly is safe for all engines as it's <10%.  If I'm correct any damage would be in the form of perished rubber seals directly linked to the fuel system.  I know a guy who developed the bio friendly bentley engine and that was there main area of upgrades.

so according to VW a 2007 2.0 TFSi K04 would be safe to run entirely on E100? If so I might start filling up at Morrison's all the time as it's cheaper and higher octane that Vpower.

I thought E100 was pure ethonal?  Which fuel do morrisons have E10, E85 or E100 and what's the difference between each

There I go again getting my numbers mixed up, yes Morrisons sell E85, the likes of tesco high octane stuff is E10.  Pardon my confusion it's been a while since I bought some but stand by my idea that I might run it full time.

What's this "E" about?

What's this "E" about?
.

E stands for "Ethanol",  (usually)  referring to bioethanol distilled from corn or other plants.

E85 is a fuel mix of 85% ethanol fuel and 15% hydrocarbons (gasoline or other). Only use this if you have a flex-fuel engine.
E10 is a fuel mix of 10% ethanol fuel and 90% hydrocarbons.

Don't like ethanol personally.
