Does anybody know if the Revo map removes the speed governor/limiter from the car?
-
if its anything like other remaps, then I doubt it, for safety's sake :happy2:

I believe the superchips version does, however I'm not 100% sure that the gti was electronically limited to 155mph in the first place?
I however have had an indicated 174mph on my SC mapped ed30 on the autobahn last year, sadly didn't have my sat nav with me so was unable to get an accurate true mph reading..

I have also had 174mph reading on my car, on the autobahn. Deffo not limited. :driver:

Nearly there...!

It's definitely not limited :-)

I don't believe that the GT1 was limited, but I'm not too sure about the ED30?
I do know though that the S3 (which I have) is limited to 155mph (according to the Audi website)
Maybe I need to give Revo a call to confirm if their map removes this?
-
Isn't the GTI top speed sub 155mph anyway, thus negating the need for it to be limited.
-
Yes, it must have been sub 155mph, what was the ED30?

I think manual Edition 30's are rated 152mph and DSG car 151mph

I just spoke to a very helpful guy at Revo. I asked him if their map removes the limiter on the S3 and he laughed and asked me why I hadn't tested it yet :signLOL:
I told him I hadn't had the opportunity yet, and he said it definitely won't be there anymore (removed with the map)
He know's a few guys that get around 175mph true speed. :driver:

Seen quite a few on facetube that reach 300kmh (188mph) on speedo, which is probably nearer 175mph in true speed (GPS)

Definitely not a standard gti or standard ed 30
