Title: Checking dsg oil service possible ?
Post by: mad_pete on February 20, 2012, 09:25:39 am
Is there a way to check a dsg oil change ? I got my car just before Christmas and the service book says the last service did do the dsg oil. But it's just a "bloke in shed" (non vw ) stamp with no date or millage or supporting documentation .But seeing as the air filter box wasn't on correctly and the rest of the work is poor is there a way to check the oil level is correct and the filter is new or should I just get it redone to be safe ?

(sorry about multiple posts (now deleted), my tapatalk app was sitting there telling me it hadn't posted, when in fact it was posting lots and lots of times)

Its not just the level thats important. Its the condition of the oil too.

For the sake of 150 notes i'd just get it done just to be safe :)
