I fitted a VW Sharan one to my Edition 30 the other day - works a treat.
I just got it off of ebay.

I had the sharan one before. Reception wasn't great, prefer this one IMO and no reception worries :happy2:
-
I got the Sharan one. Just to let you know It does reduce signal IMO.
-
I got one off eBay for £7ish. It's only about 2inches long. Fits in fairly well with the OEM base
-
Go for the MY10 Polo aerial, reception is :happy2:, Fleabay £15ish or stealers £ ?
Read a couple of neg' comments about the Sharan reception.
Fitted mine the other day, 1 minute switch over (and for 50 seconds of that i was having a cup of tea!!!)

I did same as above(MY10 Polo) as my sharan one lost signal, but worked perfectly on my R32... weird! lol
-
I've been using the Sharan one for about 5 days with no reception issues.
If it does start playing up I'll look in to getting the Polo one :happy2:
-
I also have te Sharon aerial, best looking IMO. I have noticed slightly less signal on a couple of stations but not enough to bother me enough to remove it :happy2:
-
Anyone got the part number of the polo one ?
-
Part Number for the polo aerial is 6R0 035 849 :happy2:
-
Many thanks will try tps tomorrow
-
got the polo one off e bay, no reception issues
-
Many thanks will try tps tomorrow
Did you have any luck at TPS?
Can anyone post a pic of their Sharan one fitted so I can see what it's like.
The polo one looks a bit too small.

Sharan aerial is shorter than the polo one.
Had mine for years, and it's got great reception!
-
I bought the Polo one the other day but it won't fit my base.
Anyone else had issues!
Thread is completely different to mine. The polo aerial thread is much wider appart that the GTI one. So its sat in limbo in my man drawer untill decide what to do with it.
-
Tried the Sharan, Polo and Honda Civic one, all fit (with a bit of modifying) but none of them give a very good reception so I went back to OE. :sad1:
-
Can't see any on eBay or am I missing something lol
Any links please????

The Polo one needs a couple of mm shaved off the end near the thread so it fits properly.

I've had no AM reception since I got my car a year ago. Would a stubby aerial possibly give me AM reception. FM can be a bit poor at times as well.
-
I'm using mk6 polo aerial and reception on fm is fine. Also the dealer was surprisingly q cheap, think it was £14..ish. I tried car breakers and they said £25?! Told him u having a laugh...much cheaper from a dealer :P
