Post by: flipmyflipper on February 29, 2012, 12:03:24 pm
Hi,
Could someone tell me what bulbs are in the footwells please? I'm looking to changing these for LEDs, thanks

K

How easy is it to change the footwell bulbs to install your interior LED kit?

Btw thanks a lot for the number plate ones - they work a treat.

cheers

Are these Festoon bulbs like the reg plate and sun visor bulbs?

Flat head screwdriver - prise it out (Passengers side)

Drivers side, theres 3-4 torx screws which removes a cover that surrounds the bulb. Once thats free you can pull it out from the cover.

Once you have a little look under neath each one, its fairly simple/easy.

Fantastic  :happy2:

I put these in the footwells (and mirror puddle lights if you have them)

Now, they are very expensive on their own (more than ebay LEDs?) but I had some spare from an offer with headlight bulbs.

A good compromise compared to LEDs, white light without any of the potential problems.

You can get these new for £4 a pair on eBay, if anyone was looking for them. Very good sidelights too incidentally.
