Does anyone know what I could be expecting with
Intake or Carbino intake (have both options)
downpipe/decat 3"
milly resonated exhaust
uprated div valve
maybe getting s3 intercooler (or twin fmic)
k03 gti.
Would look into either a Shark STP platform or a stage two map with either REVO or APR as my local tuning shop does both.
I would rather keep to stage 2 for economical reasons (e.g. mpg) and would skip +2 to 3 with a k04 conversion if I really felt like it,
Thanks in advanced.

250-265 bhp realistically, but I presume you would see 300 bhp on some tuner's RR :signLOL:
-
sounds good for me  no doupt ill want more eventually.
The more I've read and listened to on this forum I have a rough idea of who's are more generous, I might start a Thread asking for people to post who they've RR'd with and where more generous so other people know what to expect if going there.
-
exactly, My car is custom tuned by a local guy who writes his own software and gets good reviews here and car is always run on 95 RON fuel as no 98 RON fuel in Ireland
Stage 1 I got 235 bhp
Stage 2 with full miltek, forge IC, forge twin take the car made 275 but the torgue was spiky very low and not very driveable and it was amended and my car made 265 bhp which I am happy about
Having said that next week HPFP comes in and already bought K04 kit so would like to see power in 330 bhp region. We will see....

all that power? wouldn't it be wise to stick to like 280 max then do mods that will see the full potential of the power instead of keep adding more power? idk much but all that through 2 wheels

Who is the local tuner Nesquick?
-
tuningwerkes dude, Croydon - gunna speak to Reuben about potential, his started doing revo maps, but i think i might go APR as its a less aggressive map
-
oh i see, i thought you meant local local. :happy2:
-
nope I don't think we have a local local, croydon is as good as it gets and Reuben is meant to be a top guy

That's internet rubbish - look at the RR graphs page, they all look the same and drive pretty much the same. You can opt for a linear throttle map too, if you're that way inclined, I had it on mine, made track driving easier. :happy2:
Just pick what suits you best, in terms of price/dealer network/flexibility of tweaking tune. You won't go wrong with any of the big names. :happy2:
-
:happy2: cheers dude, thats some good advice - yeah the internet is a great source for information but can always be a bit one-sided, from what i'd read it looked like revo was more aggressive than APR, I do like the idea of the switch that revo offer. Just have to speak to Reuben and ask his advice.

As the Mrs drives the GTI also, the switch is defo the way forward (and i'm pretty sure either REVO or APRs switch is changaple via the Cruise), so switch on for me and off for her. so it would be like having 2 cars :signLOL:
-
Sounds like your going down the same route as me with the switchables then  what if she wants to put the cruise control on? shed have the shock of her life :driver: :signLOL:

This is my old car's graph @ stage2 K03.
Decat, EVOMS intake, REVO software.
Basically, if your dealer knows what they're doing (Votex in Cheshire), they'll set up the car perfectly to suit you. Some people mess about with the SPS to get as much power as possible and that's where you hear of aggressive maps - if you could tweak APR etc in the same way, you'd see the same said of them I guess?
I went for 'usable', as it was essentially a track car.

Only APR via the cruise and not once the engines running.

APR it is then, i don't even need to mention its been mapped! :signLOL:
