Im going to be buying over the next month or so, so I'm wondering which ones you guys have and how you rate them?
-
Karscher works well for me. :happy2:
-
Nilfisk after reading on here.
Bloody brilliant IMHO.
Got it from Argos as they were the cheapest and I don't think I paid for it for six months due to their 0% on anything.

I paid £125 though.
I fill the bottle with Valet Pro Orange Pre Wash and it foams up like a treat not sure if same as a lance but it looks the same when it goes on.
Apparently the pumps are metal too, the Karcher are plastic I think.
-
Dont forget to mention which model please... theres about 1000 karchers
-
Mines about 20 years old and still
stripping paint going strong. :happy2:
-
Had 2 karcher 3.99's which were very powerful but both packed in after ~1.5 years. On to a Nilfisk C130 or something like that and it seems to produce better foam through my brass lance. Same pressure, more flow per minute :happy2:
-
Ive got a knackered old Karcher that just keeps going. I bought it from Autoperfection back in 2009 iirc. Only paid £40 inc P&P, and they had already used for god knows how long. Its indestructable.
-
I have a Karcher, had it ages but never use it cos its a pile of poo that pulses rather than powers. If you lived closer you could have it

Fancy trading it for some of my CDs? :signLOL:

I got for £90 from Amazon around winter 2010. Works fantastically.
Depending on your access, I'd also recommend shelling out for an extension hose. My PW now sits in the garage and I just move the hose and lance around the car.

Not a bad idea that.
I have just emailed Nilfisk about getting the hose real that sits in between the handle.
-
Karcher K6.85. Not sure they make it anymore...
-
I have just emailed Nilfisk about getting the hose real that sits in between the handle.
Apparently a complete waste of time according to one mate who has this. It comes on the c130.
-
Seems like a good price at argos for that Nilfisk... amazon want 200.

Can't add it anyway just got an email back :fighting:

Rich, it was the cheapest at the time as I searched everywhere.
I would say still good value at £149.
Cleans the Block Paving a treat too.
That bit sold it to the wife :happy2:
If your near me, South Oxon, you can have a go before buying :happy2:
-
i bought a Karcher K3.500 for £75 from the refurbishment part of the karcher website, was like brand new when it turned up and hasnt missed a beat while ive had it
-
Nilfisk C110 Extra for me :happy2:
Does everything i need it to do. I.E wets the car when cleaning it and will blast the dog shyte off the path when the little bar stewards don't want to use the lawn :fighting:
Will even clean up paving flags etc and makes them look new again.
IIRC i paid about £60 for it from Amazon but i think they are cheaper now

I have a karcher - cant remember the exact model no.
May sell mine, still boxed etc as I used it once and haven't ever used it since! Lol
-
I use a Nilfisk after being recommended them on here. This is the one I use. Fantastic for the money and works well with the Autobrite HD Foam Lance.

I have this too - perfect for washing the car with and light duty around the garden :happy2:

I looked into Karcher ones when I was in the market for a pressure washer. I was quite shocked about the number of poor reviews they got. Google 'Karcher reviews' and start reading... Poor longevity, expensive replacement parts, the list goes on.
So I got a Nilfisk from Amazon, and it has been brilliant. It has never missed a beat, and a foam lance & valet pro foam from our very own Keith made it perfect.
Nilfisk.Highly recommended.
-
I found the same when i did a bit of resear. The older karchers seem bulletproof but the new ones not so much. Slightest touch of frost kills them.
-
karcher K 5.600 T 200 for me, does the job beautifully and with the different attachements can get everywhere and do everything. I use it for the first wash including applying the snow foam before moving to the two bucket method. One thing to remember about pressure washers is you don't want to get too close to the paint work especially if you already have a scratch or peeling paint somewhere as bad things happen
-
I use a Karcher and it works very well to be honest.

Thats looking to be a great price and product, I like the fact its got a hose reel too. :happy2:
-
If you look on there site the pressure washer without the accessories is actually more money.
Was recommended to me by a friend who works for nilfisk, Even he couldn't get me one that cheap.
-
Lidil are doing a special purchase price on a pressure washer for £80 on the 12 March. Nor sure what the brand is. HTH.
-
I have a Nilfisk E130. Awesome bit of kit. Also have the snow foam lance for it as well.
It comes with metal internals, so less likely to crack when it's left in the shed outside in the frost. Mine comes inside during the winter months though as I don't want to take that chance.
First thing to do with a Nilfisk would be to replace the standard plastic hose (terribly rigid) with a nice rubber one. The hose reel is naff too.
Not selling it very well, but it is great compared to others I've used. Good pressure and high flow rate.

Are all Nilfisk hoses really hard? Do you have a link to the rubber hose for sale online?
Thanks

Can't comment on the hoses for all types of Nilfisk, but the E130, 140 and the C110, 120 seem the be the same type.
You'll only drag it along your paintwork once before you replace it!
The guy is on eBay that sells the replacement hoses. His name is QWashers. He will make them to any length you want, with whatever attachment you want.
Plenty of comments on this type of thing on the detailing world forum.
-
Your right those hoses are hard/brittle.
Just make sure you unravel but I will take a look now at that guy.
-
I've used qwashers off ebay for some connectors so i could use my karcher extension hose with the standard hose.
-
Bought the entry level Karcher last year to just use for snow foam, doing the arches etc. Has been good so far but do know the cheaper ones can give up quite quick.

This is the one I have :happy2:

Got the karcher K2 something. One from Argos, about £120, had to get a replacement bottle though. Had my first karcher for about 15 years, can the same be said for some of the others? :happy2:
