Hey everybody,
So I changed the PCV Valve, got the latest revision. In a lot of sites they are saying that "you must update the breather pipe tube too" but i connected the old tube and it fits perfectly... is it mandatory to change the pipe? Link below:

Hi there,
It's only necessary to change this pipe if the original is split or gets damaged on removal. They are designed to be taken on and off for serving/repair reasons so unless it's broken just reuse your old one (I did when I changed mine and it has been absolutely fine!).
The one you need to change is the rear breather or check valve pipe when you fit the updated PCV. See this thread: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,43801.0.html
Hope this helps.

Ok great info, thanks.... but one question...i was reading the thread and someone says that you need to fit the rear breather pipe only if your car is 07 model or older. Mine is late 2008, (january 2009) do you think I already have the latest part installed?
Thanks again.

The breather pipe was jntroduced in 07 models and I would presume you have an early revision of the rear breather hose with a check valve
