Title: Back on board with a new MK5 GTI
Post by: Msportman on March 13, 2012, 11:04:21 pm
Well having been away from the forum for some time having sold my lovely Stage 2 APR modded Edition 30 some 2 years ago I've returned to the fold.

Bought a lovely ickle 3 door boggo standard 2005 GTI in reflex silver.

Only done 50k manual with superb cloth interior.

Going to paint the rear bumper and leave the bottom defuser black.

Car has been really cared for well and is on 17's which have been refurbed to a high standard.....they suit the car nicely and I'm keeping it OE as I don't know how long I will keep it.

Tempted to put cruise and APR map on but I have another "track" Golf so I like it as it came.....been down the expensive modded road before!!

Thanks chaps.

I see APR have moved on from Awesome......JBS of all companies !!

Maybe tempted but depends on how long I keep her. Been driving all sorts since the Edition 30.

Welcome back, bit of change from 2+ eddie

Bought as a stop gap car as I buy and sell as part my wife's sideline business.  Saw an opportunity to run a MK5 for a while before I move onto something else. Been running alot of derv burners as well as a couple of petrol cars.

MK2 does everything I need for track and is still quicker than my Edition was on track such is it's development with Tim Stiles Racing many years ago....it's a proper track tool that looks OE
