Just spent an hour sat in a puddle washing and buffing two sets of wheels:
My BBS VZ033s (They're still looking mint Curley if you're reading this!!! :happy2: ) Absolutely love these wheels but when I'm cleaning them I yearn for a set of original black Monza 2s off the Euro ED30s  Much easier to clean surely!

Just to please you - I did this afternoon!

Loving both the motors, the Ibiza reminds me of my black Cordy...same wheels!
What is it? An 8v? I take it the GT is gone now!

Yeah, it's an 8v Tom used to belong to Steve and then ScottyP off SCN. I broke something on the front suspension on the GT at the back end of last year, and along with its growing list of faults knocked it on the head. Its still around and on the road somewhere though!
Both look great matey :driver:
Thanks  , sort of Old School GTI and New School too depending on mood and where I'm going. The Beezer gets used by far the most though

Lovin the CH VZ's! :happy2:
They sit so much better than the similar Pescara's! So chuffed with mine!
-
Blimey, does that mean you've actually settled with a set of rims?
Shame I didn't know you were looking for a set back along or maybe a deal could have been done with the infamous black Monzas. Much as I love the VZs I hate scrubbing them! Mind you I think my Mrs would kill me if I sold them as I had them for my Birthday last year (well I bought them well before my birthday as a set came up for sale and they're so hard to get hold of, they made nice furniture in the house for a couple of months  )
-
I agree with that, the VZ's are beautiful but if I owned a set I'd never clean them. VW made the right decision with the Monza design, great to look at and painless to clean :)
If that GT ever gets in a lads hands, watch it decend into modded trash...thats what happened to mine. Shame, it was a great car!
If you need some odd bits for your GTI, keep your eyes peeled on eBay over the next few days. I found GTI badges and skirt trims among a load of other things :)

Okay, cheers Tom. Give me a heads up when you list. Got double glazing going in at the end of the week so much skintness coming up! Car mods may have to go on hold for a bit, but not if I can help it
I sold the GT to a local lad who in turn sold it on again. A colleague of mine spotted it about 20 miles away from me down on the coast at Torbay, lord knows what the poor car is going to end up looking like.
