Would a 235 40 18 9inch et42 rub on rear mk5 gti?

lowered or not?

if lowered then yes, probably. Bentley rims are 9J ET41 stick out (i.e. "poke") by 1mm more than the spec you've listed, and i think most ppl use 225/35R19 or 215/40R19 for those

Yea I'm lowered quite abit

I've got 225 at the moment no problem just wanted to see if 235 be ok
