Title: eBay sat nav head units
Post by: Baz300 on April 23, 2012, 07:13:57 pm: Does anyone here have a sat nav unit from eBay?
There is a few different types so not sure what one to go for, any reccomendations?

I have a highline dash so would like one that still displays info there and iPhone compatibility is a must

I found one last night that claim to be as good as original and works with display etc.

this is the person i brought my erising es968v from which is discontinued now they do the es898 model
it takes around 2 weeks to come so you have to be patient
they have a fairly good customer service thou there english is very bad
i brought mine over a year ago and nothing has failed yet :wink:

I have it on my Zenec and has worked great, made my TomTom redundant.

Im pretty much the same as baz when it comes to the can bus issue, i `ve been looking on ebay and erisintech are selling the ES968V`s again but look like they`ve changed design slightly -

just wondered how easy yours was to set up JAMEELNO1?..not sure if i`d need a can bus if i ordered one or not..have asked but not heard back as yet.

setup is plug and play really easy i put the gps and the tv antenna in the glove box

the freeview will only work when stationary btw, but there are ways around that
everything is straight forward

you will need the canbus kit for it i dont have one hence the light stays on not that it matters to me only ever had a flat battery once

other things you will need is the twin fakra antenna so you get radio reception cost about a tenner off ebay

remember you can haggle on the price with them :happy2:

If u want to stay oem get the rns510
Aftermarket choose from either alpine pioneer or kenwood there the best but are expensive :happy2:
