Title: front bumper honeycomb
Post by: nads1_uk on May 18, 2009, 04:11:27 pm: I've got an 05 reg mk5 gti. I've noticed some of the honeycomb section on the front lower grill are missing, the same ones are missing from the near side as the off side. I've looked at several gti's and the ones I've seen range from having non missing to some that have about 6 sections missing. So anyone know why because this is bugging me?

I was thinking the same, sounds like you may have the open fog light grills for the warmer climate spec Golf....not that it is here! :signLOL:

Post by: TurboTrev on May 18, 2009, 05:17:47 pm: I've seen at least 3 different variations of the side bumper grills - the open ones, some completely solid and some with just 3 or 4 holes. It's nothing to worry about. :happy2:

How did you add the picture? I took some photos but couldn't add them. Mine are a bit more irregular.

But when you want to put pics in your threads-copy and paste the IMG code into your thread/reply/new topic.
Theres 3 other codes aslo, but if you want a signiture pic, again its the IMG code, and if you want an Avatar its the Direct link code. ( the avatars sometimes dont load up tho for me on the Gti.co.uk site)

If you look at this very early press material of the GTI, you can spot your grilles in a couple of the photos

Thats what I'm thinking. Also looking at the front fogs, they appear to be changed to another item.
