Hi,
my key doesn't wind up the windows when the are down. They worked on my polo but they don't work on my GTI. :ashamed: Have I missed something?
-
Did they previously work and you've disconnected your battery?
Manually one touch them down keeping a hold of the switch, then keep hold of switch as it goes up, and then try from the remote.

Thanks for prompt reply. I have disconnected the battery. Sorry just to be clear do you mean I should hold onto the switch as I wind the window down and do the same as I wind the window up and then try the remote fob afterwards?
-
Yeh keep the switch depressed all the way and for at least a second after fully opening/closing, then try the fob.

Okay. Im currently at work (got to pay for the mods I've got lined up) then I'll try it!

may need activating using vcds. Anyone with vcds can do this for you.
-
sorry to jump on the thread but is the drivers side window meant to come up automatically if you hold the switch up like it does when you hold it down
-
Sorry but is remote fob windows up standard on our GTIs or do I need to pre programme mine for this?
If it is standard how does it work?
Thanks

Did holding the window switch down, then up, not work?
Takes seconds to try.

Thanks again.....

Have you got a Highline cluster (full size screen on clocks) and MFSW (buttons on steering wheel)?
If you have then try get into the Convenience Menu and see if there is an option to reactivate them.

I'm a man.
Therefore I only need to read the manual after I've broken it.

Happy days.
The reactivation method of power windows I described should work from now on when battery power is lost/restored.

Thanks I'll remember that. Much appreciated.
