so, i'm tempted by a GTi, originally I set out looking for an ST Focus and still might go that way but what would you value this at,
Golf GTi 3 door Manual
Red
Sunroof,Xenons,Leather,18 Monza's,cruise, MFD2 Sat nav with MFW,new MOT,full vag history, 2 owners one being VAG dealer, light+rain sensors, centre arm rest, 53k FVWSH.
its a 2006 "56" car
-
around 12.5-13k
-
around 10-11k i would say,
-
around 10-11k i would say,
That would be my estimate too
-
hmmm, keep the guesses coming....
-
Having a read around it seems mk5 gti prices are climbing at the moment
-
I'd go with 12-13k, the prices of GTIs went up over the last few months, so much that I could make a profit on my car!
-
I would say about 11 grand but you can take 1000 off that because of the colour. (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Ftomashandmilly%2FDaft_stuff%2Ffunny.gif&hash=b60d0105fb8be89f969cea0afbb1133eb7152f4e)

11-12K
-
its actually £13495 which I didn't think was too bad considering the spec, I've been watching the prices of ST's and they have risen by £1000-1500 over the past 2 months. The VW dealer is the first not to offer an insulting PX price, probably because he has some margin in the car. I've also seen another Gti lower spec but with sunroof for £12290 its 06 but with 29k again in red. Ideally I want red, laser blue or steel grey and thats it (although white looks the best )
-
When i went to look for GTi - one in wakefield shaved off £1200 to try and get me to buy it.
But couldnt because it still didnt fit my margin... 12k.... he came from 14k to £12.8k
Glad i didnt buy cause insurance wouldnt of let me drive it :signLOL:
-
Dont buy the focus! I came out Of one to go to my gti! They arnt all there made up to be you will get bord very fast ive never looked back since getting rid of the st i love my gti!

Great choice of colours, ive had all 3 that youve mentioned, and cleaned up , red looks the Best imo.
Good price with spec, i was expecting more as my local dealer has a standard GTi in red on an 07 for £16k, with half the mileage.
Colour has Feck all to do with Vw dealers prices, its what extra's it has against its covered mileage.

You deserve a thankyou Tom :signLOL:

I would say about 11 grand but you can bet your bottom dollar thats the best colour. (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Ftomashandmilly%2FDaft_stuff%2Ffunny.gif&hash=b60d0105fb8be89f969cea0afbb1133eb7152f4e)
spot on TC
Also stevetdci, you said NEW MOT in description, does it need one yet on a '56' plate?
-
I could've got a silver one in January with 18s, rear parks, leather and sunroof for £8500 but the seller wanted to give me £6k for a newer car with a quarter of the mileage!
Nick, you got a steal!

No it doesn't, it shouldn't need one until September at the earliest although I don't know the first reg date, but they did say it will have 12 months MOT and has had 2 new rear tyres, if there budget ones i'll swap them ... i'd rather the MOT wasn't done as it throws it out for the rest of its life ... I thought 8 weeks was the earliest it could be done now, i'll check the email in the morning.

For comparison I bought my car about two weeks ago and its exactly the same spec including colour as the one you've seen apart from the Sat-Nav but mine had just over 40k on the clock. I paid £11,300 from a private dealer.
